Our Team
Dr. Doug King grew up in Goleta, CA, received his undergraduate degree at UCSB, and later earned his doctorate of optometry degree in the year 2000 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Upon graduation he served as an officer in the United States Navy as an optometrist at the New London Submarine Base Hospital in Groton, CT. He then moved to private practice between Old Saybrook, CT and Rocky Hill, CT. Dr King has also served as an adjunctive clincal instructor with the New England College of Optometry. Besides general optometric care, Dr King holds interests in regular and hard-to-fit contact lenses, ocular disease, LASIK co-management. He is also experienced in pediatric eye exams and currently see's patients of all ages.
Kristin King has almost ten years experience between insurance billing and performing the duties of the front office. She is very knowledgeble of insurances and any paperwork that may be needed for your examination.
